This presentation contains two parts (the first and last plays) of the projected five play Iphigenia Cycle, and an interlude, a news show that fills in information about events that happened during the intervening thirteen years. Aeschylus' Oresteia will make up the remaining 3 central plays, and these are still in progress.

The setting of the original plays was the beginning and aftermath of the Trojan War. This adaptation is set in the period 1957-1970.

A music theatre piece, The Iphigenia Cycle is not a traditional musical, but each play will contain songs and choral odes written in the musical style(s) of the period in which the play is set.
