A few notes:

  1. In preparing the production, I gave titles to all the scenes, to give the actors an idea of what was going on in the scene. You can see them to the right of the Act and Scene numbers.
  2. I have included some of the stage directions that I inserted into the text. They are found between the brackets [].
  3. Heresy: the text is abbreviated and updated. I changed the thees, thous, thys, arts, is'ts, etc to modern English. I also changed some of the more obscure language to 20th Century vernacular-- such as Feste's "Misprision in the highest degree!" became "Mistaken identity in the highest degree!"
