Photo Shoot for the Poster

My directorial concept for the show is "Courage of the Dead." This has several meanings--the courage that leads one to death, or that Mother Courage is the canteen woman for the dead. She plays the game early on in the show with the black Xs to see who will die. But the truth is, they all will. Or exist as living dead, in preparation for the finality of death. I asked Sheena Purcell to do zombie makeup on the children to represent this idea.Above she is working on Meghan O'Halloran. The result is at right.
